Current Initiatives
Stop the Drive Through
The YNPA proposes a strategic initiative to encourage travelers en route to Kangaroo Island to stop, explore, and support the local communities of Yankalilla and Normanville. This project aims to transform our towns from pass-through points into must-visit destinations, boosting local business, tourism, and community engagement.
Normanville Jetty
Does Normanville Need a New Jetty?
The Normanville Jetty has long been a part of our town’s identity—whether as a place for fishing, walking, photography, or simply enjoying the coastline. But now, we face a critical question about its future.
Do we invest in building a new jetty?
Do we repair and preserve the one we have?
Or do we let it quietly deteriorate and disappear over time?
The Yankalilla and Normanville Progress Association (YNPA) is opening this conversation to the community. We want to hear your thoughts, your memories, and your vision for what the jetty should be for future generations.
This isn’t just about infrastructure—it’s about identity, tourism, safety, and the kind of town we want to be.
What do you think we should do?
Heart Safe Community
Welcome to the Heart Safe Community project, an initiative of the Yankalilla Normanville Progress Association. We’re committed to making our community a safer place by ensuring that life-saving AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are accessible in critical locations—and we need your help to make this a reality.
